I went to Utah for a few days and got to meet my new grandson Jaxon. Heres a picture when he was a few hours old. 4 generations in this picture I also got to meet Steve while I was down there, and we traded some rocks and we talked like we were old buddies. I usually don't talk a whole lot, and by the time I left his house I had a sore throat from talking so much. He gave me a nice chunk of fire agate and a 5 gallon bucket of really cool rocks, and a cool metal birdhouse he made. Was really great to meet you Steve, lets make sure to do some hounding! Drove home today in one of the worst blizzards we have had in years, I have not seen roads that bad in over 10 years. Maybe we will finally get a real winter!! Have a great day....................Tony

Yep...congratz Tony! You look to be a happy Grandpa! and what a special Family there. I guess you have someone new to show the ropes to about rockhounding. It was great meeting you, and yeah...it felt like we were old time buddies. Too bad it was so cold...we could have pulled out the saw and had a hey-day slicing up some rocks. I haven't even had a chance to cut any that you gave me. Tony keeps a supply in his truck, and he gave me some really great looking rocks. I can't wait to cut into them. I'm glad you made it home safely! It can be a treacherous drive. Can't wait to go out rockhuntin' with you. Steve

Congratulations! Hey, my grandson was wrapped up in the same receiving blanket from the hospital. 4 generation photos are great! I have one with my grandma, mom, me and my 1st daughter. I also have one with me, my dad, his parents and my 1st daughter. Now it's my turn to get everyone together to get a new 4 generation photo with my mom, me, my daughter and her son! Unfortunately, all of my grandparents are gone now. Have fun with your new grandson!

lol, how funny to hear that Tony keeps a supply of rocks in the back of his truck. Emergency rations in case he gets stuck somewhere in the country that has no rocks!! dee

Congratulations Tony! I can just see it now, some people's grandpa gives them a quarter everytime he's around - Tony will be letting the little fella run out to the truck to pick out a rock each time he sees him!

Congrats Tony!!!
I know some people that take a rock and write on it the the date or a couple words of a significant occassion and they have a rock garden of these rocks. They can pick one up turn it over, read the date and tell you the story. Pretty cool! john
