Hello everyone, I did today another cab, from an obsidian (mahogany I think) slab from Beefjello. Thanks again Brian! I was undecided which one to be the face so I made a double domed one. I firstly planned the side in the first pic to be the face, but then decided both deserve it. The length of the cab is 52 mm. Quite big, but still wearable I hope. Front: And front again (sorry Tweet, no back this time ) Thanks for looking, Adrian PS. If anyone has such a double faced cab set into a silver (or gold) frame, please post it , I'd like to see how could that be done. I have an idea but don't know if it's good.

Oh Adrian, that cab is exceptional. I can see why you were spoiled for choice on which would be the front. I love the "woody" look on the 2nd face, but both are beautiful. What a great shine, too!

Adrian - that's beautiful! I think a good choice to finish both sides - they are both demanding attention! Keep us posted on how you "finish" it as far as framing it - I'd love to see what you do with it!

Adrian...you did an excellent job!!! Looks like it might be goldsheen obsidian and you caught the fire in it. You have to cut it just right to get the fire and boy you sure did...and the shape is beautiful!!!

Wow, both of those are pics of the front? Amazing.
Great shape, great shine, and great photography (as usual)!

Amy, maybe i was not very clear: the two pictures show each of one a different side of the cab. Cheryl, you might have understood the same as Amy. Sorry. My fault. The dark side has some chatoyance, but I was unable to catch it in the photo.

Great Job Adrian. I tried obsidian once but had a difficult time with flat spots because of the softness and I was never able to get a good shine on it. You seem to have done both well.

Beautiful Adrian,
I really like the obsidian, both because it looks awsome and also nice and easy to work with......
Great job!

great work, Adrian! i have a mental block when it comes to cabbing obsidian....it's almost like i can get a better shine when i tumble it. maybe i go too fast? maybe i need new wheels....
but that is a superb piece.

Nicely done, Adrian! I know what you mean about having trouble picking a front...... anyway, it gives you twice the opportunity to grind on your fingers while turning it T
