Great tool, but I never thought such a thing requires a cooling fan. Can you take pics through it? Maybe you can see me, should I wave to you? Adrian

Wow, now I understand why you're thinking you might sell your cabbing machine ... your interests have broadened into other areas. There's nothing like sitting out on a dark night and staring at the sky, enjoy yourself Stefan and Happy Birthday!

Bro, you are a man right? Haven't you ever heard that the one with the most toys in the end, wins? I have so many toys and hobbies, I will never sell anything. Looks like I'm gonna beat you in the end...

Put the rocks in- you guys crack me up- As for photos- well I have a couple cameras that will fit the eyepiece holder- but I need a couple hours of clear warm weather to set it all up- so maybe this spring?? As for the cooling fan- the Mirror in this is about 1.5 inches thick PYREX glass- it weighs in at nearly 30 Lbs and takes 1 to 2 hours to reach ambient temps (without the fan) the fan just speeds things up a bit (I store it in the unheated garage which cuts the cooling time WAY down). As for what I can see- Well I've seen some detail (dark brown patches) on Mars, I can see Saturns rings and the Cassini DIvision (the space between the outer rings) and I've seen one of Saturns moons (Titian). Leaving the solar system- the Orion Nebula is Huge and I can just make out 6 stars in the Trapizium- I got the Crab nebula (no not a disease) the other night (remenants of a supernova) and the recent Holmes comet is faint but still "viewable" Anytime anyone is in my area and the night is clear Your all more than welcome to come over and view- We (my daughter and I) have 3 scopes now! Earth- I think the saying goes the one who dies with the most toys is still dead! I'm not sure if I'll sell the cabber or not- I just don't use it as much as I should.
