Oooh, I love the top one! The colors are just unreal! I really like the wedge shape too. The tiny one looks like it should have a name and be a pet! Cute! lol

That first one is simply unreal! And the mistery cab seems to be liquid.

Great photos Tony. And my mystery cab photo sure looks better than the finished stone itself ;D ; thanks a lot for making it for me.

4 drools??? Man never got that before, thanks for the complement Cher! I think the best advice is to find the most colorful part and then center it. Then again it helps to get some good rough too.

Those are great, Tony. The 1st and 3rd my favorites, but the opal island in the center one is a very nice feature. I have been having polishing issues with some of my Koroits. I'll have a super shine on the iron stone background, but the opal islands will occasionally look flat when you turn the stone just the right way in the light. Got any fixes for that from your experience? Thanks, Tony

Thanks for the nice replies all!
TonyW - My advice would be to put a real good dome on it and press hard against the finer grit wheel. It's hard to tell though without a photo, if you have one post it up. There are many expert too, maybe they could chime in.

Thanks, Tony! I'll try to get some pics up. I have gone to harder wheels at 1200 and 3000, and that is making a difference. T

As always, your BO and your skills are breathtaking! And saliva producing! (Note to Cher; how did she do that???)
Thanks, Tony, amazing as always! I am intrigued by the mystery cab. Why is it a mystery cab? Unknown opal stuff?
Thanks so much!
