Yes, a definitive YES! Winter is great. I love it, love it, love it. Never had to plow, or had the mess that comes with it. Here in West Texas, we don't get it too much so that's why I love it. I had a blast watching the Seahawks/Packers game. Wish I could have been there live.

Ron, You're a Very SICK MAN! ;D Did i mention...SICK MAN! ;D I'm with KD! I hate Winter...hate it, hate it, hate it It's got so stinking cold here now..and it's supposed to be in the low 20's for a high. I really need a new job or something...it's just no fun at all! We've had more snow here than we've had in a long time. I wouldn't mind it if the sun would at least come out and shine..but when ther's no sun, the winds howling, it just makes me miserable! Hope you don't mind me whining Steve

Good to see you Ron, sorry I can't agree on winter being great though, I'd rather be able to go rock hunting than shoveling. ;D

Ron you should have warned me NOT to look! I'm having flashbacks to what it looked like here yesterday! bad memories there - glad someone is enjoying all that white junk! A colleague of mine likes that stuff too and we go back & forth - "look it's snowing!", "now look it's melting" - snowing, melting (this goes on until spring & starts again in the fall....
We Canadians need something to keep us occupied through all those cold winter months!

I'm unlucky. If I want snow I have to drive to it. I took my grandson to play in the snow this weekend. Most of this snow came from the storm we had about two weeks ago. Bob

Yeah, it's fantastic. It was fantastic Monday morning when it took me 1 1/2 hours to get to work (normal 30 minute commute). It was even better a few weeks before when it took me 4 1/2 hours to get home....fan'freakin'tastic.
I don't know why I live in New England...I really hate the winter.

I love snow, but I hate the frigid cold, which it's supposed to be this coming Friday and Saturday around here. Earthdog and I are going out to dinner in Chicago Saturday, but the high is supposed to only be 6 degrees above and drop to 0 or possibly lower! Yuck! I hate that kind of cold. Let's just hope it's not windy, too.
I remember living in Southern Calif. We only knew about snow when we travelled to the mountains, then it was just for an afternoon of sledding. We had no clue what it was like to live with snow and cold. I remember moving back here to SE Wisconsin when I was 12 years old. We moved back in the middle of winter. We had just arrived at my grandparent's house. I had to get something out of my mom's car and proceeded to run out their side door when all of a sudden I had to come to a screachin halt! I've never had to put my shoes on to go outside before. I could always run outside barefoot in Calif. There was like 5 inches of newly fallen snow on the ground. What a shock for this Calif. kid!

Ron, I feel your pain about the tree cutting.... I live in a development called the "Livable Forest," except they keep cutting down trees to make shopping centers and parking lots! Of course I'm also part of the problem - I saw my street before they built the houses, it was beautiful. Just glad I was able to stop by the lot and rope more trees before the bulldozers came, I managed to save a few more. Have also planted a few...
Thanks for the snow pictures!
Amy
