Thanks Dee, Roxy. This one had some really good color in the stone, it took a good polish too. It was a really good stone.
Max the pug is the devil in disguise. Pugs are really cute but very mischievous and un-trainable. He is always getting into trouble when I turn my back. But I have to say he is a good little friend as well!

He looks pretty harmless and innocent to me.. And probably wondering when you're gonna send Roxy one of them there pretty red ones.. lol

Wow, they're sooo beautiful! The third one is awesome! And the last one, amazing, it's almost only opal!

That's a firey bunch. The last one has a lot of bling, but Pic four and five show a lot of bling and some nice contrasts; hmmm I think I will go with that one as my fav. Great job on all. Max is real cute

Gotta love those boulder opals! I especially like the one with the individual oval cells. I think those and the ones you cut before with the fish scale like markings are some of the prettier opals I've seen. Great fire in all of them!.....Mel

OMG, those are the nicest Koroits I've ever seen!
I gotta ask ... where did you GET all that rough? Most of those Aussies won't part with rough ... they usually either sell it as cabs or preforms.

Yes, I agree with you the second one is special. I got some of those amazing blue pockets in the rough from Gene too, and I'm just hoping I can do them justice like you do! Those are all great! And..... I expect Max is wondering what you are doing on "his" couch, not yours Tony

Sure is some pretty BO you've got there. You'll have to post a pic of your collection one of these days, I'm sure it's pretty impressive.

Michaeljohn, I think if you look hard enough you will finds some. Now with the slow economy I am sure you will find even better deals. Opalauctions.com and E-Bay is a good start.

I think Max just wants an opal collar! Amazing stones, and great grinding, as always. On the last one, which is nearly all opal, do you put anything on it to preserve it, or will it be fine as is?

Karen, the last was left natural as most all. If they are really pitted I break out the glue similar to opticon. It works well.
