Thanks, Tony. I have been reading the opal posts (love opals!!), and from what I have gathered, some think they need something extra to save them from wear and tear, some do not. I am also learning about the different opals! What fun! And what amazing work you do!
And, Mike, well, I guess I have to quote Tony, 'Holy S__t! What a difference!' Beautiful! Thanks for the pix!
I can only hope that SOMEDAY I have a fraction of your skills, guys!

WOW! This Opals are positively Beautiful! What exactly are KOROITS? Opal's are my fav gemstone. I love almost anything that is iridescent. I also love anything Red or Rich in Color. I started w/ Rubies but got discouraged and haven't done much yet. I have 4 Pug Dogs. Here is one of my Girls wearing their matching hoodies that say "Glamour To The Bone". Angel is Black and the MOM, Rosey is Fawn and the Daughter. lol. I agree w/ what someone else said. Max probably is wondering why you have those rocks on his couch? Also wondering: Can I eat them? Can I play w/ them? ...LOL. This image is clickable to see bigger! I accidentally came across a very colorful Koroits opal last night from an old link here. I look at Your's and think WOW, Positively beautiful, and elegant! ... I found this to be real cool on the uniqueness scale.I seen it and I thought "Wow! Look at those patterns and colors! Freaky but cool!" . Check it out: cgi.ebay.com/Stunning-Patterns-FIRE-Koroit-Opal-PreShaped-51-4CTW_W0QQitemZ150216638420QQihZ005QQcategoryZ110810QQcmdZViewItemstar****

4 Pugs How do you handle them??? Very cute little puglets BTW. How I came to love the pug dog is about seven years ago I was sitting on the beach in California checking out the waves. While relaxing there one came out of nowhere and jumped in my lap. It was very friendly and was licking my face and wouldn't leave me until the owner took it away. A couple months later I mysteriously got one for my birthday (Max). They are great little dogs and very amusing & lovable.
Koroit is just a area in Australia that has boulder opal mines. It's mixed in with a lot of ironstone and produces some really spectacular stones. If you are able to get the opal in the link it looks like a excellent pick-up. Post your progress if you get them.

I love the one in the 2nd and 3rd pics. Beautiful the way you managed to work the opal fading into the red matrix.

Awwww! What an awesome BD Present! They are eternal lovable little clowns! Always eager to please and play... Oh, and get treats! 4 can be a handful but I love them to pieces. As I said, The 2 Black one's are the Parents, and the 2 fawns the pups. They had 6 and we kept 2. We was only gonna keep 1 but the boy had to have a minor surgical procedure and we ended up keeping him too.3 of them stick together most of the time and one (the Mama), is a loner. I think that she wouldn't mind if the others left and didn't come back most days. The worst thing they do is lose it when people come and go. They bark like crazy and sometimes end up attacking each other when they get worked up but they would never hurt anyone else. I don't think I'll be purhasing any new rock soon. I am more of a watcher at this point. The only thing I tried was some rubies so far and they pulverized my other rocks and still have stuff on them. I'll get going one of these days. I'll post a pic of my boy's sometime soon. Take Care, star****
