Damn, Lady B you are one smart cookie!
You really do know what your talkin 'bout!
Yep she's gonna have a great lookin butt after that 8" slice.
Takila is hitting the morphine button every ten minutes.
You mean that lovely 8"slice on her once good lookin butt?
They are talking about keeping her untill Friday morning. Like Blarney said, "thats when the fun starts"
I call it, just plain old puking.
Just as long as she can ride come May!
Shall I tell you now, how I gave her that hip pain?
Naw, I best not give out all my secrets.
I will tell you I gave her that bad hip before we were married....
They want her to get moving as soon as she can. The doctor told us Friday that they will have a physical therapist working with her, I think this afternoon.
Here she is Friday at the doctors office with me annoying her. She looks thrilled doesn't she?
We had to get up early, like 3:am this morning to have her at St. Lukes hospital by 5:am, sat around about an hour waiting to get her preped in her cute gown with her booty hangin out.
Here she is all ready to go at 6:30.
You know, I live my life now to annoy and agitate her but this morning I really felt very sorry that she had to go through all this. It made me feel pretty sad when right before they took her away she wanted a kiss and she told me that she loved me.
We got a bunch of snow last night and this morning so the doctor didn't get there untill 7:30 and they started cuttin on her by 8 and done by 9:am. The thing that gets me is the doctor told us that they will use a hammer once they drill the hole to smack the metal piece into her leg bone thingy. Yeow thats gotta hurt. I should have asked him if he wanted to use my Estwing rock hammer.
I got a couple pictures of her right after she got into her room from surgery but I'll be a gentleman and not post those.
She is so tired from not sleeping well last night and all the meds they had her on and have her on now. Thats why I came home now for a while. I'll go back up later this evening to see her.
Before I left to come home she thanked me for helping her with all this and again another "I love you" but this time she added, "very much" to the end of her statement. I guess it was the drugs talkin....

Takila's surgery is being approached from behind her hip--a gluteal, or buttocks, incision
Takila is hitting the morphine button every ten minutes.
One of the most important components will be to get her to trust that she can move without breaking open or undoing the surgical site/procedure.

Nosocomial infection!
I call it, just plain old puking.
She literally should feel like a new woman because she will not be riddled with debilitating hip pain--which drags on both emotions and energy
