Howdy Rockscateers, These are some photos of some little slabs I cut from some of my most recent Chinchilla finds. Sorry about the focus on a few of these. Chinchilla wood rocks! Have a top day, Mike

Beautiful wood Mike! How are you gonna polish them? In the vibe?

Adrian, I'll trim them on the saw and shape them on the grinder then it's into the lot-o for 220, then 600, then polish.
I think some of them are already on the way. I cut these over a month ago.

Wow! That stuff is beautiful. Is it hard to find, or far away from you? I can't remember, I'll have to look for some of your previous posts about chinchilla.
You're sure giving us a lot to drool at! Thanks!

Amy, Chinchilla is 3 1/4 hour drive WNW of Brisbane. I have friends who live in Dalby, 45 minutes from Chinchilla, so whenever I go out to visit them I stock up.
Is it easy to find? Well, it's...everywhere. It's just lying on the ground begging to be picked up.
As I have said before, if you want some, you just need to cover the postage (which unfortunately is pretty expensive). I'll send you as much as you like.

Pet wood has always had a special place for me. The more I keep polishing, the more it's growing on me. I found tons at chain of rocks and it polishes to where they always look wet. I'm eventually going to have one shelf of just my pet woods!
