Here are a few more I finished up last night. Boulder opal, the other half of the piece Tony gave me. Unknown agate, looks like it has some amythest in it. Another unknown, looks like a night sky. Some kind of plume agate same one upside down A couple from that rainbow obsidian I picked up And a Stone Canyon Jasper Thanks for looking.

Nice cabs Ed. The 1st unknown looks like African lace to me - did Kim send you some of that at one time or another. I have to agree with Randy about the night sky one - very nice

OOh. Gotta say I like that Stone Canyon best. The unknown yellow and purple specimen looks like Calico Lace Agate from Chihuahua and the night sky one, if those sparkles are metallic, resembles Marcasite in agate from Nipomo, CA

The rainbows and the stone canyon have to be my favorites of this batch. I'm not used to seeing that maroon (I don't think ) on Stone Canyon, though. Is that common coloring or am I just losing it (again)? LOL - just noticed I had already replied. Thought I had, but didn't see it anywhere.

What did I tell you about the opal slab? That is really awesome, the more you grind the better the color appears. They are all top notch!

Thanks. Mel, the sparkles are white. Would it help to have a pic of the rough rock to id it? Ronda, Stone Canyon comes in a variety of colors, lime green, the common yellow/golden, almost black-which is a very dark maroon, shades of brown/tan, and probably more. Cool stuff no matter what color. That was a fun piece of opal Tony, thanks again.

I love the some kind of plume agate. Great shape, it really accentuates the pattern in the stone.

I saw the picture before I read what it said, and thought to myself that looks like the sky outside at night. Then I read it. Great minds think alike. That upside down plume kinda sorta looks like one of those Hubble Space Telescope pictures where a new star is being born.
