They say beautiful and long lasting things need some sacrifice, so your blood sacrifice is at the right place. Despite the beauty of the other ones, my fav is the one in the third pic. Exceptional pattern and it has some red sparks that I really thought firstly they come from your blood.

Ouch!! That grind mark looks like it was well worth it! ;D Now quit your whining and go get some more BO finished! Beautiful Cabs Tony! I especially like the 1st two. It's really neat seeing exactly where on the rough stone that 2nd cab came from. You do some great work....and I think your going to have a couple of stormy days ahead so plenty of time to play with rocks. Steve

Blood , and B.O sure is a Beautiful Sight! ... I love the black in them that dances around that opal. in the first one, but still like # 3... Not srue if I've ever seen that much black in any of those opals before.. guess that's why I like it ..

I think you need to go to a stationary store and get some of those rubber finger tip thingys, either that or maybe a thimble! Nice stones.

KD, yes this is true. I had blood streaming on to the cab the entire time. It really seemed that the plasma in the blood give some type of polishing affect. Who needs diamond paste. Also as Roxy said that they look black, it is actual blood staining the cab and seeping into the pores. B.B.O (Bloody Boulder Opal).

BBO - ewwww.....
But those cabs are gorgeous. Love the first two cabs and the way the matrix plays with the opal flash...

Wonder what other kinds of rocks you can do that too.. ever bleed on any other rock with any luck Nephrite.? ;D think of the possibilities ! lol ... and you're not kidding right?

Beautiful looking cabs, but that finger looks like there are some grind marks left. It may just be the lighting but you may want to go back to the 600 grit for a little longer ! Bet thats tender for a couple days !

Sounds like the Angelina/Billy Bob thing; they wore blood around their necks, haha! But yours look a lot better as a necklace... Ouch! But the cabs look amazing!

The third one is my favorite, too. I love those tiny flashes! Sorry about the finger...that looks like it hurts!

Three great ones there Tony. That first one is just outrageous. I cut myself on almost every woodturning I make. I have to watch the blood staining the wood though, that detracts rather than enhances. LOL

Particularly nice pattern on those first two! All are very nice. And.. I agree with Harley... that finger might need some more 6 or 1200 Tony

The cabs are terrific, but the blood adds character to them. You ain't got much of a finger nail either. I'll settle for dopping.
