Purdy! I love tumbled emeralds, even if they aren't gem quality, they're still so pretty.

Very nice emeralds! Did they come to you already polished? Maybe they polished during transportation Adrian

Hey Cher, how are your ems coming along? I've got a gemstone tumble going now, I'm trying something new by putting all the varieties I've got in there together -- ammy, emerald, citrine, aqua, and a few garnets and rubies. Hmmm, I just remembered I've got some topaz someplace I could put in. I'm a little worried, though, that I won't be able to tell them apart. I'm leaving them in the rough barrel longer than normal, really not looking for at least 10 days to 2 weeks, and pulling ones to move on. I'm going to run it through a 120/220 BARREL this time, which I haven't done in a long time because I use the vibe to finish, but I remember how the 120/220 in the barrel really does continue to shape and gives a good surface. I'm being very conservative about what I pull. I've noticed that I seem to get into these gemstones over the winter every year -- probably because it's so inconvenient to rinse barrels and the gems are best left alone for a long time!
