I really don't like working with this stuff. Too many pits and fractures. Glad I didn't have to actually pay anything for it. Curt

This is really pretty ......I love the tear drop shape, and the photograph showcases it nicely. Karen

Very nice, great job! I have a dozen rough pieces and they are all very fractured, it is difficult to work with but I like the end result.

Yeah.. I'd have to agree with the rest.. That still is a pretty stone.. and you did a great job considering the difficulty..

One of the drawbacks of working on a stone that sits right on top of the San Andreas faultline! When you do get a cab done though, it's usually a nice one. Yours looks great.

Despite all of the difficulties, that looks fantastic! The colous are so rich...I can certainly see the appeal in the stone, even though it's nasty to work with.

Gorgeous. I have a big piece waiting for me to get more experienced to do something with. The picture is very nice, too. How did you set it up? Susan2

Nice cab Curt, I like the shape. I have some of that material but its too fractured and will end up in the tumbler.

I have cabbed a lot of Morgan Hill and like other material there are a lot of grades. Working with lesser grade of any material is extremely frustrating. The most challenging material for me to work with is Mt. Tahoma it is seam material and had about everything than can present problems; vugs, fractures, druzy pockets, and pitting.

Thank you for the kind comments. I appreciate the comments on the photography as well. I've been learning a lot about how to get a decent photo of cabs. Not there yet, but making progress. Susan I took the pic with the cab on a white background. The rest was done in Photoshop. Curt
