I found a LITTLE time to squeak in a couple of cabs this past weekend in between nailing floorboards, and I wanted to share them with you. First off, cab #2...would love to know what this one is, if anyone knows. I realize after the fact that I'm not exactly going easy on myself...only cab #2, and I decided trying a round was a great idea. And who says granite can't be pretty? This is from a local piece I found at a construction site. It's tough material to work on the diamond wheels, though...the granite cuts MUCH faster than the quartz. It's rather uneven, but it was super hard to keep things all nice and oval with the materials cutting at such different rates. Took a good shine, though. Anyway, thanks for looking! Nichole

No ID on the first but the red part looks kinda mossy. The Granite came out cool. They are both very nice.

Oh, the first round one is really beautiful! I have to try to cab a round one, I never did it.

Those are nice! Really like the first. It kinda looks like horn coral, but not sure. I still haven't mastered a round cab yet, good work.

Nice work! And great shines. Some of the coolest ones I've done were driveway gravel from down here in granite land Tony

I'm really having a lot of fun with this!

Nichole the round looks pretty good. I won't even show my first attempts at rounds. LOL Great shine on both of them. We get a lot of that quartz and granite paving rock around here too. I'm not sure if its granite or not though. I'll need to ask my geology professor tonight.
