I recently broke down and purchased some tin oxide and cerium oxide. I have been using aluminum oxide for awhile now. I just finished a batch and used the tin oxide..........WOW. A huuuuge difference. Nothing was changed in my processes except the polish. Since I have a vibe, you don't use much so the expense isn't a big deal and the shine is killer. I knooooooooow, need to start posting some pics again! Sandy

I have aluminum oxide from 2 different sources and then i also use the 1000 grit aluminum oxide, other than that, not sure of any of it. It would give a polish, no doubt about that, but the difference when I used the tin oxide was amazing.

I was curious because there are so many Al. Oxides out there. And , particle size varies. 1 micron equals 14,000 grit, .5 micron equals 50,000, and .25 equals 100000 grit.
