Dog Pack Attacks Gator In Florida At times nature can be cruel, but there is also a raw beauty, and even a certain justice manifested within that cruelty. The alligator, one of the oldest and ultimate predators, normally considered the "apex predator", can still fall victim to implemented 'team work' strategy, made possible due to the tight knit social structure and "survival of the pack mentality" bred into the canines. See the remarkable photograph below courtesy of Nature Magazine. Note that the Alpha dog has a muzzle hold on the gator preventing it from breathing, while another dog has a hold on the tail to keep it from thrashing. The third dog attacks the soft underbelly of the gator. Not for the squeamish! GOTCHA! Laughter is good for the soul. Have a Good day *Life is short, break the rules, forgive quickly, kiss slowly, love truly, laugh uncontrollably, and never regret anything that made you smile*

Ms Cher: Very good one. I took it hook, line and sinker. Makes my day again. I read Rocky's story and was in tears from laughing so hard. Had a really bad day at work. I needed this. Thank you for sharing!!

Cher, I have dogs, I have had reptiles (snakes and salamanders and such) in the yard. I just had to read this! Dogs don't like reptiles, haha! I KNOW that! And, of course, you got me. Hook, line and sinker, as Frank said. What a hoot!
