I am very new to the idea and hobby-profession of rock tumbling. I am a disabled guy I had a major stroke about six years ago. I cant drive anymore and I am looking for a new hobby. This looks like it will fit the bill. I have some rubies, emeralds. amethyst, sapphire and moonstone I would like to tumble. I am looking forward to a very interesting and possibly profitable hobby. Hello to you all. By the way I am from Central California.

Hi, Xranch! You hit the right place, there's a lot of information about tumbling here. A lot of members deal with tumblig here, using from a 3 lb single barrel tumbler (like i do) to countless 12 and 15 lb monster tumblers. Welcome!

Hey Xranch, central-cal (well, h*ll all of CA) is a large place. If you don't mind me asking: what "part" of Central-cal?
I'm in Los Gatos. Lots of good folk around here (meaning both RTH and this part of CA), just not too many collecting possibilities.

Welcome xranch from another californian. Not that close to you though. You will find lots of help and infromation here. It won't be easy to tumble saphires and ruby with emeralds and amethyst, at they are of different hardnesses, but if there is a way to do it, you will find it here! Steve
