Not very many this time, but some unusual material. Start off with something normal, RSJ Unknown A piece of Blue agate from Steve Holmes Now this one is strange. It is kind of like pyrite in an agate. The agate is hard as Hell and the silvery stuff is soft, but shines up nicely. Any ideas? Here's what it looked like before I started, actually the back of the cab, but I didn't touch it. A plume agate from the Agate pile near Jamies house. Unknown agate Some kind of tube agate Cathedral agate And a piece of purple obsidian. Now you see it... now you don't! That's it!

Ooh, those are great!! I love the shape on that blue agate...and that pyrite/agate one is TOO COOL! I love the shield-ish shape on that unknown agate, too.

Great work as usual Ed. I just love the blue agate, the shape is really attractive as is the pattern. The color change on the obsidian is cool. I take it you just moved the light for the second photo.

I agree with Tony, the shape and pattern of the blue agate match each other great. I also like the RSJ a lot.

great cabs. I like the unkown agate the best; has a dreamy look to it; givin me some spring fever. Warm sun; cool breeze, laying on the grass and watching the clouds.......

Here's a cab of Nipomo Marcasite. It's about 2" BY 2". The Marcasite polishes up rather well and it holds the shine too. Sometimes you can find a piece with the agate areas a reddish color. It is rare and really striking. Bob i151.photobucket
