I won a 15 pound chunk of lepidolite from this guy. I received it in three days, absolutely beautiful rock, and he included a free rock!! I'll have to post a pic of the freebee, because I haven't a clue what it is, but it's really cool! ;D lol ...... oh, Cheryl (floydsrocks) turned me on to lepidolite, I had to have more!

I got some from him too. It undercuts a bit when tumbling. But, I got a hunk of purple rock - so who cares.

LOL, I figured that it would, it's like 4.5 on the MOHS. If it weren't for the Genie, I probably would have left it alone...or not. It sure is purple. ;D

I mean I don't care if it does not shape up too well in the tumbler. I have a display case with softball to bowlingball sized jasper, agate, travertine, rose quartz, pink feldspar, and now lepodilite.

Yeah, I took it that he's just happy to have a purple rock, same as me, regardless as to what the tumbler does to it. It's a beautiful rock, I can hardly wait to get my saw running again so that I can start cabbing this stuff. I get a ton of requests for "something purple". lol

I'm going to try some 1" balls. For pendnats, I think purple MooK might be the best way to go. Great shine, won't scratch.

Mookaite makes awesome pendants, and it's easy to work with. It'll take a shine no matter what, with no soft spots!! "Riverbendlapidary" always has some nice pieces.

Something about purple...it's one of our biggest sellers too. That ebay seller is great!!! Wish he had some with the pink turmaline in it. If anyone knows where I can find some, please let me know. Get the saw going Randy...

Purple is my most requested color, mostly by women, and even by a few men (usually as a gift for women) ;D This is actually the first stone that I've ever purchased that's really purple. My purple jasper doesn't even look purple. (but at $3 a pound from a petstore, what was I expecting?) lol

I also had a huge rock of lepidolite for quite sometime. Finally ralph and i cut slabs from it, and took them to the show this weekend. One lady bought 4 of them from me. I was shocked. I sold out of all of them and when we got home, we had to cut more for todays show.
I wonder what i will have left. lol

Mine is slabbing as I sit here and type. I gotta tell ya, this is the first purple rock I've had that's actually purple. I can see why yours sold out. The cabs that I get out of this are going to be a hit I can tell!!
