I'm with Adrian, that one in the 3rd pic is a beaut. Any idea what it is? Your pics are excellent. Any tips?

Thank you for your good words. The 2nd thru 6th photos are all of Montana Moss. The stone in the 3rd photo is my favorite of the group. That translucient red always gets my attention. The picture is just a little on the dark side. I use a Nikon Coolpix 3100. It has a good macro setting for these close up photos. I am still struggling with limited lighting but with a little trial and error I can get some nice photos.

The new room is looking a little bare yet so here is a couple photos for the walls. Some Montana agates and wood sticks. How do you get such a high shine? I'm just starting out. Working on my third batch...green agate. My last two batches were good. Much better when I hand buffed. But, this is a very nice shine! Love it. Ted

Welcome trwagner1! I use a 5 step method. I use 60/90 grit, 220 grit, 600 grit, tripoli prepolish and tin oxide polish. The addition of the tripoli prepolish stage realy helps me get the high shine.
