Wow, someone just sent me a great link to a video about life in the sixties, and I just had to share it with everyone! You do remember the sixties, don't you? I assume quite a few of us in this group were around to enjoy that decade. Click on this link: objflicks.com:80/TakeMeBackToTheSixties.htmand have a fun trip down memory lane. Vance

For some reason, not all the URL is highlighted, so you might have to copy and paste the whole thing into a browser address bar.

I finally found it. Some of the memories were off. McDonalds was .25 rather than .31, Gas was .35 where I was for regular, and people came out to pump the gas in funny uniforms. Credit? Only THOSE people had credit cards. I remember when Mobil had a scratch card. You could even win an AM radio! I remember, no one was afraid of you then either. I remember my sister taking a marking pen and making a seam line down the back of her legs for the prom. Even the food tastes bad today.

Aww yes, I remember the 60's quite well. It was an awesome part of my life, growing up in a very small town where everyone was your neighbor and friend. 1964 was the first time my sister and I were allowed to stay up and watch the ball drop on New Years. The Beatles were on Ed Sullivan ... I'd go back in a heartbeat, it truly was a great time for me.

i was staying with my grandma and SHE let me stay up and watch the Beatles on Ed Sullivan, much to my parents chagrin. however, my mom finally relented and bought me that first "Meet the Beatles" album for my birthday. i also got my first transistor radio and used to fall asleep listening to it under my pillow.
i guess i remember the 70's better.
