Hi everybody. I brought some of my cabs to a rock shop in Berkeley CA for opinions and the owner would like to put some in the store for sale. Then I sold my purple agate for 25.00 to one of the employees. I figured I did ok, plus being my first sale I just wanted to do it to get my start. Look out world here I come!! ;D

Berkeley is probably a good place to sell cabs in a shop. I can see why it sold.
My wife started collecting tumbled stones, chip necklaces and minerals because of their metaphysical qualities.
We went to one of the Crystal fairs in Walnut Creek and someone was wire wrapping cabs. The wire wrapping was fine the cabs were another matter.

Hey what do you think you're doing moving in on my territory!
Seriously, cool deal, this must be that shop on Channing- right?
You did notice they have a bunch of "production" cabs (read foreign imports) there for pennies (well, up to maybe $5 or so, but still way too cheap), I had to wonder if custom free-forms would hold up in that market, but hey if they are willing to give it a try , good luck!
And that "first sale" always feels good too doesn't it?

That worker got lucky! That's a gorgeous cab, I remember when you first posted it. Terrific about them wanting to carry some of your cabs!! Let us know how it goes! ~Dee

That's very cool. Funny, I did the same thing here in San Jose. I brought a handful of cabs into the local rockshop just to get their opinion of the quality and the owner said he'd be my first customer and bought a Morgan Hill Poppy Jasper cab from me for $20. The trouble is, before I left his shop, I spent $17 on more rocks! You should feel proud, now go cut more cabs and continue selling.
