I want to upload my webcam to my weather page but it says they only take a FTP server right now. I downloaded filezilla an FTP client but don't know how to configure it or even if it's what I need.

E-dog, the webhost that hosts your website should have an address and password that you use to download info to your site using FTP. You need to e-mail them and ask, or look back in your e-mails when you signed up for your site and see if they gave you directions in your welcome e-mail.

This is all that it says for directions from my weather site, "The password for each of your cams is the password you use to log in to our site. Images can be uploaded at a maximum of once per minute, can be no larger than 150Kb, and should be weather centric. Non-outdoors/non-weather images will be removed, and users that upload inappropriate images will be blocked.
Please Note: Make sure you enter the Camera ID as it appears in the "Your Current Cameras" list, and the password exactly as you chose it, as both fields are case sensitive.
At this time we only support FTP uploads. You'll need to set your camera to upload to: "webcam.wunderground.com"

It would seem to me that your camera should also have directions for setting it up. It also seems strange that they say it only downloads using FTP, but they give you a website to download to. Most FTP's use numeric addresses. Maybe a better IT person can figure it out for you. I'll continue to look into it and get back with you if I figure it out.

Filezilla will allow you to manually upload the images your web cam or digital camera takes to the site. If you're going to use this, all you'd have to do is use "webcam.wunderground.com" as the host, and then your username and password. Click the "Quick Connect" button, and you'll see a directory you can upload the files to. Right click on the file on the left side and either add it to the queue or just hit upload. That'll transfer it to the server on the right side. If you add it to the queue, you have to "process queue" to actually transfer the files. You're probably wanting a Webcam FTP software solution instead - one that is specifically designed for web cams and has an "always on" type situation. I don't know of one off the top of my head, but a quick search turned up this one: www.tincam.com/ (http://www.tincam.com/help/setupftp.php for the FTP setup) It has a trial period so you check it out. I'm sure there are others out there, but this was the first one that came up.

Hey E-dog, Thanks for the credit, But I'll pass it along to Rhonda. She's the guru on this one, LOL. Glad someone could help you, it takes me to long to figure it out, although I would have eventually. Glad you didn't have to wait, Tonja

I'm doing something wrong. I put all the info like it says into tincam but the pictures won't show up. Weatherunderground support doesn't seem to ever get back with ya either. Here is a couple pictures from my webcam, our backyard, it sucks now cuz the sun is coming straight at it, Where my Harley is waiting out the winter, Next doors backyard, I have a logitech orbit cam that you can control or it will follow automatically.
