That's fantastic! I've never seen Turitella so pit-free before! Great shine on those, too.

It IS rare to see Turritella tumbled so smoothly!! I have some B-grade stuff that I am having to use only the center of, due to crombly outer portions. Great looking stones!

Well that's something you don't see tumbled .... I got some of that stuff too.. but never tried to tumble it ... you did an excellent job on that and the amazing shine!

Thanks for the kind words everyone!
This was some nice rough to start with, which is why the stones ended up so smooth in the end. I forget the name of the rock shop, it was a little store along Arizona 90, enroute to Kartchner Caverns in southeastern Arizona. I don't recall if I got anything else there, but their turritella rough sure was nice.
Holdemplyer - this is highly silicified material, so the hardness should be Mohs 7. It did work up about the same rate as agate, so I think 7 is about right.

Killer batch!
I love turentilla. I got a bunch that I'm trying to get preformed cabs out of the vibe tumble to finish and polish. That %$^& stuff is hard to grind. But in the end the harder the stone the better the polish
