My wife talked me into displaying some of my better rocks. I have had them in bins in the garage. I thought it would be a great idea but am not sure now. I don't know if I want cut some of them now. In the garage I would just grab one and cut. I have had a few days to have a good look at them now and find them to be beautiful as they are. Yes I will slab them, well most of them, at some time. Thanks for looking..........MrP Link to more Pictures s185.photobucket.com/albums/x137/MrP-photo/?action=view¤t=9db388cd.pbr

That is a set of really nice looking shelves and your rocks look great spread out like that! Can't tell from the pic but is there a little lip on the front of each shelf? That would be very cool here in quake country. Are they from one of the standard home supply store ala Home depot or something like that?....Mel

There's something wrong with that picture! its too.......too.....er...uh....Organized! How could you possibly find what you are looking for in that shelf? You need to toss them back into a pile so you can dig through it and find what you are looking for! Bob

Aww but it's so nice to just look at. When you slab them, you'll have to keep one slab on the shelf for display.

Sabre There is just a small lip and I did bolt them to the wall. Kids like to look so I don't want it to come down if they decide to climb it. Bought at Menards.
bobby1 Yes it is but remember it was just set up. Give it time ;D........MrP

That's an outstanding shelving set up! Where'd ya get it? oh... and some VERY nice rocks too! Sorry, the shelves got me all excited ;D now, let's get down to business. What do you want for the rosetta on the top left shelf? BTW, who's gonna dust them now or do you have a leaf blower? Edit: Reread about Menards. Not sure what that is, we don't have those in Florida. Note to self: Need MORE shelves!

That looks great. Wish I had the space to do something like that, mine are sitting in buckets in the basement. Tami

I like those shelves! All the ones I've looked at over the past few months haven't had nearly that many shelves or they've been too deep. I've almost convinced myself I just need to build my own, but this gives me hope! Too bad we don't have a Menard's around here...

Captbob I brought that stone home, showed my young bride and she asked me if she could hold it. She then told me it was now hers. I told her that it was big and I would give her part of it. She said "you don't understand, it is mine, you will not cut it or break it in any way, UNDERSTAND!" As you can see, I did. You can be 2nd in line, if you want, but I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you........MrP
