By orders from Liz I am introducing myself. I have been rockhounding for about 6 years now and really enjoy the hobby. I spend a lot of my time prospecting for new sources of material and love to spend time on field trips.
I am retired from the Portland Fire Bureau, and now have the time to spend hitting the woods and creeks of Washington. So far I have been able to locate 3 or 4 places to dig for agate, jasper, petrified wood and crystals, that no one else has ever been to.
I currently live in Olympia but grew up in Vancouver.

Welcome to the board Chasfire! I believe there is a good number of RTH members from your neck of the country. Steve

Ahhh, another "best friend" for me. Those of you who know me in person, and through RTH know how much I love the Pacific Northwest. You lucky rockhound you. I just love that area to no end. Welcome Chasfire.

Welcome, Chasfire. I'm sure Liz has told you how much we like pictures (hint, hint)!
