Here is a Swirlstone bottle holder I am working on. I still need a way to attach a bail to it. I'm making it for some people who sell perfume and scented oils. Hope you like it.

Nice bottle Joe, if it were mine I would put some scotch in there.

Well I sure do... I dig those little bottles and stuff.. and that just takes them to a whole new level... and What did you use to do the inside with?.. And have you made any in a different kind of stone? All I know is you have some Choice ideas and skills.. ...

Cool idea! A perfume into a rock "bottle"! A match between the scent and the rock's color would be also great! It's quite a task to drill such a hole into a rock!

That's really cool, joe! I'm another one interested in how you drilled that hole...with such thin walls that must be tricky!

Thanx all! This is the first bottle holder I completed. We don't wanna talk about the 5 failures still sitting in the garage! The hole was drilled with a Dremel tool and a 3mm core bit. The Swirlstone is kinda soft and drills faster than other stone. I held the stone in a small vice, submerged it in a pan of water, and used a drill press to hold the Dremel.

Joe that's awesome! How long did it take you to drill that? What's the overall size of it?

The people who challenged me to do this have some small corks they use to close the bottles. It took about an hour to drill it. The hole is 1.3'' deep. The stone is 1.75'' long.

Really nice! And the material suits so well. I like all your creations in these posts. You have now added to my list of things I need to try, like making boxes and intarsia I need more time and more arms. T

Cool Idea Joe. About 30 years ago, there would have been a lot of people that would have like those to pack their "snow".

Hey Joe, great idea. I'd epoxy a bail to the side close to the top, someone has probably already said this but I didn't read everything
