Nice looking cabs. Don't know if it's the shape or pattern probably both but the Montana agate really struck me as something special.

Those are awesome, Geoff! I really love that Montana and the unknown #2 with the grey and orange in it. That's a really unusual color combo. How was the Sugilite to work with?

I'm with the majority, that Montana is something special! I really like the lace with saginite, too.

Thanks everybody. The Sugilite is really easy to work with, it's pretty soft. I paid 31.00 (26.00+5.50 shipping) for 145 grams so it's kinda expensive. There are fractures to work around. I need more practice evaluating rough before cutting (esp. the pricy stuff). I cut the end off then made a little slab that proceeded to crumble in my hands, so that's the only cab I have so far.

It's amazing how so many different people have one favorite. I'm not in the group, though. I really like the graveyard point plume. Turned sideways it's like a view of rock formations through a break in the clouds - maybe Grand Canyon or Bryce Canyon area!
