This is becoming one of my favorite materials to work...LOVED working with the obsidian. No idea what this one is. Any ideas? It does not scratch with a knife. Little baby bruneau - this is my first double-domed cab. It was just too pretty to only polish one side. Front: Back: I'm guessing this is red jasper with hematite. This stuff was SO hard it took forever to work. Big one: Little baby easter egg: The little baby was actually a scrap from cutting out the bigger one. It was supposed to be an oval, but the stone rebelled and sent a chip of that oval flying...it REALLY wanted to be an egg.

The bruneau is SO beautiful! And the jasper square "pillow" is fantastic. Those ones are my favorites.

Thanks for all the comments, guys! I realized, in looking at my photos this morning, how much LINT there is on the rocks. LOL! That's what I get for wiping off the fingerprints my hubbie loves to put all over my freshly done rocks with a paper towel.

Nice work on all of these. So, did you try scratching that one cab with your knife before it was cabbed or after? Just kidding. I like your easter egg.

Pretty cabs!
I think that second one is coprolite ... from a baby dinosaur.

Love that Bruneau! i've never liked Obsidian, but the more I see it on this board, the more I like it. I never knew there were so many different kinds.

Super nice. That baby bruneau is so cool the front has orbs and that wrap on the right half. Great pattern selection!
