1) Give them away at mineral club meetings or neighborhood kids or science teacers, or sell them cheaply at shows etc. The former very satisfying, the latter gets affordable rocks into kids hands, hopefully hooking them on the hobby.
2) Rock Critters - glue on googly plastic eyes, little rock feet, & yarn hair. Fun for kids!
3) Plant Watchers - glue a rock critter to a popsicle stick, and stick it in a plant pot.
4) Jewelry - stick the best stones on bell caps, or wire wrap, to make pendants, bracelets, necklaces, hair clips, bolo ties, key chains, nipple rings, etc.
5) Vases or candle holders - epoxy stones onto the outside, use clear stones for the latter so light shines through.
6) Make up a gem kit or display for educational purposes or sale, eg. local gems, USA gems, the colors of quartz, etc.
7) Use them to show the final product in a tumbling display at a show or meeting, kids love this and it is very easy to put together.
8) Gem Trees - something shiny for a base rock, gold wire for the trunk and limbs, tiny stones as leaves.
9) Inlay work or rock chip 'paintings'.
10) Display your very best, most colorful stones in a wine glass: very cool.
11) Rock Concerts - a group of little rock critters (see #2) sitting on a piece of wood or stone. Good for a laff.
12) Submit a one pound parcel of your finest tumble polished gems to the International Judging Committee to see if you're eligible to compete in the next Tumbling Olympics.
Bonus #13 - Sell especially large tumbled stones, fist size plus, for a ridiculous price, to the crystal power / metaphysical / healing / reiki nut jobs. Explain that for full healing power... the stone must be taken internally!
