You did well, see I told you they aren't that hard to do! Look forward to the rest, keep up the good work.

Beautiful cabs. Where do you get the material? The stuff I've seen on ebay looks dodgey.

The Aussies are generally real stingy with their opal rough. Nephrite either got real lucky, has a friend over there, or shelled-out a lot of clams ... or all three.

Thanks, ya'll!! Stardiamond...I got a parcel from Gene McDivitt at Koroit.com. He sells on ebay also, but I asked him, and he said he is glad to sell to us via email. I got 5000 grams of low grade rough, but I've been really happy with what I've been getting. I figured to practice on the lower grade then get better stuff down the road. T

I'm beginning to believe that being named Tony is equivalent with being koroit addicted. Catmandew and Tonyterner, what are you waiting for? ;D
Beautiful cabs, Tony W!

Thanks again, folks!! Yeah, I wondered what the high grade was like but apparently you might need 10 to 20 grand to see the goods Gene knew it was my first batch so I'm sure he threw in some sweetener. Gene's a good guy. Owns his own mine, knows his stuff from the digging to the cutting. But, really, I haven't thrown any away yet, and everytime I grind through some mud and matrix I get amazed by what is revealed! To be honest it can be frustrating stuff. Pits that appear and sandy patches that don't seem to take a shine. And the pits or rough spots always seem to appear in the best patch of color. But in the end results are so worth it!!! T
