Anybody know what this stuff is? The person says it Green Coral Stone. Somebody else said it looked like glass. I though maybe it was something that has been altered....Thanks

Not sure, but are we seeing depth (into) this piece or is all the pattern on the surface?
Hard to tell by the photo, what do you see in person, does it look like plants inside glass? It sure is feathery!
I'm going with manmade just from what I see...

If it's man made, I'd guess Victoria stone.
If it's not...could be plume malachite.

Looks like a very unusual, pretty malachite to me. I've never seen any like that before, but it's entirely possible.

I dont have the piece in person, just the picture. Looks to me like it is on the surface with no depth. The person who has it is in China

It's definitely not a coral. Corals just don't grow skeletons like that.

It has a lot of flaws / cracks and voids to be man made , but that's just a dumb guess.
What ever it is, it's a good thing it's not found in the state of Iowa. If it was I would have to carry a few pair of clean shorts in my backpack when I was out rock hunting.
I would have to change em every time I found a piece of it !!!!!
That stuff is AWESOME !!!!!
