Hello Fellow Rockers I have been following RTH for quite a while now and find this site to be spectacular in info and good people. I am not exactly a newbie since I have been in the hobby for quite a while now. I look forward to chatting and contributing where I can. I am a newbie with this 'puter so you may have to bear with me. I live in Northern Ohio so the only things we get to collect is lake affect snow, salt and an occasional arrowhead and traffic cones not necessarily in that order. Gem n I (Larry)

Cute user name, Larry! Welcome to the board! Yay, another who feels my pain of not being able to collect anything! Well, that's not quite true...I can collect all the granite I want, just nothing interesting. LOL!
So which parts of the hobby are you most interested in...tumbling, cabbing, faceting?

Thanks on the name!! Been with me for quite a while.... My interests are slabbing (18" & 10" saws)..cabbing (8"HP unit w/diamond)...tumbling, both vibe & rotary units and lastly silversmithing which I am just getting back into...I have been in the hobby for almost XXX years (read many)...now semi retired, I am getting back to it finally!!

HI Larry, Welcome to the board. Looks like you are already set up, now you just need a digital camera so that we can see what you are doing, Hope to be seeing you a round.

Hi, Lary and welcome! You seem to do a lot of things with rocks so, as Tony said before, a digital camera is a must. Then, a photobucket (or other site) account to store and share your pictures. Which we can't wait to see Adrian

Tony & Adrian, Thanks for the welcome!! It may be a little while for the camera...I am just now getting used to using this "puter and to think of adding a camera...I will but it may take some lessons or a few "for Dummies" books before a camera comes into play. I am just now starting to get my workshop set up after moving to a new place...had I know it was this much work I may have to think about retiring earlier...Larry
