I haven't posted any photos recently, so I thought I'd show you some pendants I made from some fossil wood I purchased awhile back. I think this is a fairly new import, and it is fossil wood from Brazil. Some of the rough pieces I bought are clearly palm wood but only one of these has the (somewhat) typical look of palm. I think the other two may be from some part of the wood that does not have the typical polka-dotted appearance. I really love this stuff and have just started working with it. The pieces I have in reserve are really killer and will make some awesome pendants later on. Whatya think of these, though? This is my favorite. These two show how much the look of the wood varies: Vance

I think they are stupendous! Downright wild patterns. Does the wood have a name?

reminds me a bit of dino bone; very nice; great job on the cabs and adding the top piece to make them a pendant.

Gorgeous!!!! My favorite is the 2nd one, but all have awesome patterns! Can't wait to see what else you've got reserved for later!
