I only sent home two boxes from burro creek, and there were two rocks in particular that I had higher hopes for. Finally took one to the club workshop to cut it last week. I used the 10" Lortone, and while I own one of those saws - I don't think I am allowed to run it in my storage shed. I didn't collect this. I think RallyRocks gave it to me. Someone did. I have been cutting shapes with black sky lately. So I am thinking about shapes like this:

Very nice slabs! Personally, I would use the black as the bottom but that's me. Very cool either way.

either way is cool as hell, those are some great look slabs, and will make some kick butt cabs.

Yep, that's what I'm thinking. I am fond of that shape too. Drilled, wrapped or a simple bell cap would work well.

Ooh, that's a beauty! I like the dark sky look, but either way those are some sweet slabs!

So nice, Daniel! I like the way you're orienting them. Dee

OK, I made one teardrop, but then decided I wanted a bolo, so ... (click for full size) I want to stabalize a crack in the teardrop before I drill it. I will leave the bolo thick and blocky (like me!) Both will be tumble polished.
