Hi, I'm Lee Parker from near Buffalo, NY. Some of you that go to flint knap-ins know me as the guy that makes tee shirts and plays/sells those Australian horn things - didjeridus.
Anyway, I started going to knap-ins nine or ten years ago..the thought kept bugging me that there was a lot of pretty rock going in the debitage pile. So, I started cutting and polishing cabs a couple years ago. Bought a facet machine this year (haven't used it yet) and a tumbler (2x3lb). So far, I ran a load of "mine run" emerald through a step one to get rid of some matrix and am running a step 2 on some obsidian and sodalite.
I "think" I bought the tumbler for doing pre-polish and polish on my cabs. I suspect I'll be doing a lot more than that. Lee

Welcome, Lee!!! There's certainly a ton of knowledge here that can help you with those tumbles.
