My son and I have gone to Summerville GA to find agate and jasper in the past. We got some really nice stuff. It's been a long time since we went, and we want to plan a day trip soon.

Do any of you have any experience hunting agate in that area? Would anyone like to meet and do some agate hunting together down there? I would appreciate any good info. We went to the quarry, and a road cut near a small church (Can't remember the name right off hand...) but I know there is some agate at the state park nearby.

We are going to Summerville on Tuesday, April 22. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, and so would some company! If you live near Summerville, GA post me and we can get together. cpdad (Kev) came with my sisters and I on an agate hunt in Savannah River area GA last week-end. We had a blast!
