Cabbing on Easter

I didn't have my daughter yesterday so I decided to work on my rock shop. I have moved my grinder out of the basement and into a shed so I now have a dedicated rock shop. I got all of the electricity hooked up in the morning and had the afternoon to cab. Here is what I made.

And yet another unknown, one of my favorite shapes.


Brazilian agate. I couldn't get the camera to focus on this one so the pic is blurry. The black is a paper thin layer running through the stone. It looks really neat in person, very 3d.


I did do one more cab, my first fire opal. It turned out pretty nice. Somewhere along the line it decided to abandon me so I have no idea where it is. I'm hoping to stumble across it sometime in the future, when its ready to come home.
