One day I was searching for a present for my wife on Ebay, and I came across the term cabochon. I wikipedia'ed it and said hmmm. I saw a couple of really neat ones, and bought a few. I decided to learn about their creation, and stumbled upon this site. It was a great find. Within about a month from that moment, I had bought a WF and some slabs; my wife just bought me a UV-10 for my Bday. My first cabs are polishing (for about 12 hours so far), and I will be able to post pics soon. This whole thread is a thank you, and a huge congratulations to this community. There are some amazing cabs created by the members in this forum. This art can be something that is part human vision, and part nature/god. Worn as jewelry or just for display, lapidary is art.
