Lastnight, Tony(catmandewe) and his wife Kris stopped by. It was so nice to meet you Kris! We had a nice visit, and I hope I'm not to boring of a host! Tony brought me some nice chunks of some great looking rock. I think all of them was stuff he collected at Burro Creek. There was one in particular that I just couldn't wait to slice into. So, 1st thing this morning, I started cutting and pretty much have sliced all day long! this is some gorgeous material Tony. It is suprisingly solid too. The 1st couple of slices fractured, but after that, I got 2 great fracture-free slabs from the hunk, plus a big chunk still left to cut up. This is it...some gorgeous blues and purples. I also decided to cut some Crazy Lace just for our very own Crazy Lace Fan...KD! These are for you. Love the little orbs! That's it for tonight. Ever since being a shed owner, I've had my saw running pretty much all day long. I can see a new blade and oil in the near future. Tony, It was great visiting with you and Kris. I hope you had fun sledding today, and drive home carefully. See you in a few weeks! ;D Steve

So, Tony's generosity "hits" not only by mail, but also life! Tony, put me on the list for being my guest please! Amazing patterns and colors! That blue area bordered with deep red in the second pic from the end is so beautiful!

Nice cuts Steve. Glad you got your shed set up. So, does Tony keep his trailer hooked up to his truck so as he travels around he can pick up new rocks and pass out his finds?

HAJA You guys are too funny!!
You guys should see Steve's carnilian and banded collection, its pretty impressive! And I LOVE his coffee table, he has posted it on here before, but it is so much better in person.
Steve, Thanks for being the gracious host, glad that one had something in it, sometimes it is hard to tell which ones are the good ones.
Hope to see some of you in Delta in a couple of weeks..................................Tony

The crazy lace is awesome, but I love those burro creek ones. They look like a brecciated agate, and will make nice cabs, pendants, whatever. Thanks for sharing.

That is some great stuff, Steve! Lucky you!! And why didn't you go sledding too? I know how much you like snow There is a wee small chance we might get some snow early next week. I'm hoping against hope. I haven't gotten to sled in 3 years now. See guys named Tony know how to get their priorities right. If there is snow around, one must sled! T
