More slabs I bought at the show this weekend. The vendor wanted $3 to $5 for each of these, but the pink was kinda rare in this material, and the reds were brighter than you generally see. Basically, I may have paid about $15 more than I might have found something like this elsewhere, but it was pretty cood color and contrast, and they guy ended up throwing in about a $20 piece of Laramar because of all the money I spent at his both yesterday and today. Here are the slabs (click for larger) And a few thoughts on cuts: (click for larger) That one little red feather in the 3rd pic. I can't decide. My niece has requested a smaller stone with pattern like that. But if I cut the diagonal lines above, I can get a very nice larger stone. I am not going to show this to her until I decide. The shield is a bolo for me.

I also think I have decided to make the larger stone from the 3rd picture, my niece can still ahve it, she will just have to grow to adult size to wear it.

Tastes change with age, and not only. When I started cabbing I made smaller cabs than now, because Ina didn't want large cabs. But now she noticed that the silver setting "shrinks" the cab a little and she likes larger cabs too. Gorgeous stone, I can't wait to see the cabs done. Adrian

That thunderbolt slab in the upper right is a pendant just waiting to happen. Hell, all of them are great. Looks like you had a good time at the show.
