I have been playing with a small nodule of Chinese Pietersite I got recently. Today I saw some really nice African material. There were about a dozen slabs, collectively priced at over $2000, but I managed to find a little one that was under $60 and should give a couple of shapes. The real question is whether to make a big bolo for me, or to cut a few shapes and let some of my friends and family in on this. I could give them the guy's address and they could go get their own Pietersite. I would be happy to cut it for them.

That's the coolest slab yet! Hard call on what to do with it. I usually end up making stuff for everyone but myself. (usually my mother-in-law) ;D

Yeah, everything I have made to date has been given to a family member, friend, or co-worker. Still, since I moved out West, I have decided to be eccentric bobo-rock guy and try to get a collection of 50 or more killer bolos. Only have 3 so far, with about 20 in various stages of production.

Dan, That's a sweeeeeeeeeeeet piece of Pietersite. I think you should At least make a bolo for you, and if you some left-over make something else. You still have 47 bolos to make..so get with it! Steve

The guy will be selling at the pow-wow in Madras in July. He wants $1/gram, and most slabs are about 2.5 times larger than what I got. Over 150g.
LOL. Maybe 4 of us could split one.

Killer slab!!! Wish I had the money. I would be selfish with that piece and make the perfect bolo for myself. If there are leftovers.........

Looks like a world on fire. Beautiful slab. Good for you, Daniel. Make whatever you make for yourself. Enjoy it.
