Here is a photo of a freeform I made from some fossil wood I traded for a long time ago. I think it is from either Oregon or Washington state, and this "toasted marshmallow" color is pretty typical of most of the chunk of wood it was cut from. There were also lighter colors of tan and beige. The wide wood grain was typical of the entire piece of the wood. Does anyone have any pieces of fossil wood that matches this? I would love to trade or purchase some more of it if anyone has some. I know this should be in the "buy, sell or trade" section, but I wanted the most members possible to take a look in case someone might have some wood like this. Thanks for looking. Feel free to PM me if you think you can help.

Don't have any, but would like to. That is some awesome wood. I have some similar in color, but doesn't have that pattern. Great cab!

What strong grain lines. Nice job aligning the lines with the shape of the cab.

That wood is great - it almost looks more like a reed with the strings through it.

Have not seen any wood like that. Would like a piece for my collection. I have some yellow pet wood for trade if you are interested. Email me and I can send you a pix.
