An agate I got in a box from Steve Holmes.

These next two are unknowns I have been finding myself. A point

hunter told me where he had found crystals, so I went looking.

Found a nice quartz point and this stuff I'm calling Tonyite...in

honor of all the fine Tonys on this board, of course

But just a few

small, broken crystals.
The rocks look similar on the outside but are often very different

on the inside. It is some kind of quartz conglomerate. I can post a

pic of the outside of the rough if any are interested.

This one I can't seem to get finished, hard to polish and it is as big

as my hand so it is hard to work... just wanted to show if for

comparison.

Jury is still out on the Tonyite, looks like quartzite, and of course, loving the opal.

KD, I'm with you on the flash of the Labradorite... I was trying to get the chatoyance in the pics. The flash just moves around like a star in a sapphire. Randy you need to get some... it is almost as much fun as opal.. almost

Steve is joking about junk... the boxes I've gotten from him have stuff that suits my tastes just great. I have a box of some amazing opalized wood he collected that is waiting until I get my vibe lap up and running. If he ever offers a box jump on it.... but after I get first dibs please
