Nice buys Dan. The picture Jaspers already have a few nice scenes marked out. The agates looks really nice too. You saved enough money buying slabs from the bargain bin to justify the $ you put out for the RSJ! Steve

I also got about 2 dozen slabs in the $2 to $8 range, but I am running out for steam to photo them right now. More later. But, here is one 3x5 piece of Polkadot that I paid $10 for. Anyone who knows how much I like scenes will understand why I paid this much for a slab of a local material. (click for larger)

Steve Steve - The only way I justified the RJS was by telling myself this was how about 1/3 of my TAX REBATE would be spent. That lot weighed 1lb 10oz, and it was going for $8/oz. I don't exactly have buyers remorse, but I don;t think I can ever really justify it.

Good for you Dan! Money well spent!! You did find some great slabs too. The scene reminds me of a desert with a big cactus baking in the sun. Is that what you saw?? Steve

Sun makes sense because of the color, but somehow I thought moon. Before I stop with the photos and scans, here is the chunk (just over a pound) of OJ I got for the pink color.

That scene you framed in that oval is fantastic, Daniel! i can't wait to see the finished cab! But you also have a great scene in that first pic (bargain slabs): the green + yellow one in the left side. I'd turn it upside down. It would make a gorgeous belt buckle.

I guess I see the buckle, but I don't do buckles. I think two rectangular pendant stones. Silver findings.

Great finds Daniel! That is a fine scene in the Polka dot agate. Neat piece of OJ too. That deep pink with the green orbs is the first OJ I ever saw on the market years and years ago at Quartzite and I think I still favor it over many of the other newer varieties that have come to the shows.....Mel

That polka-dot is uber-cool. Saguaro scene should appeal to any desert visitor!

Hi Keith - I did get some Polka Dot from him. The pic below is his. But I got almost as good from Rock Castle in Lebanon for $2/lb.

Well that little white area by the cactus is a small fracture. I will need to see how I will handle that.
