I see a picture. First thing I would do is clean that thing up. The second is put a rock to that blade. I believe it's an old Covington combo unit. My next door neighbor neighbor has one that looks just like it. 10" blade?

It's a Covington combination unit. My neighbor also has one. His has 5 or 6 diamond wheels where the S/C wheels and split drum sander is. The split drum sander is a problem. You can buy rolls of wet/dry paper but not diamond. I'd use 400 on that drum. You can remove the leather polish pad from the end polish head (or buy an additional aluminum disc). Then coat it with 3M disc adhesive so you an use leather discs with diamond compounds in grits from 600- 1200-3000-14000. When the S/C wheels are worn out replace with 80 & 200 diamond. If you ad water nozzles there is room for more wheels. Covington makes really heavy-duty units. If you don't have to move them around they can be really nice.
