Hi, At last the weather has cleared and I had some sun to be able to take some first pikkies of the smoky and clear jellybean quartz. I really should have a piece of glass to put them on, but the white tile was an okay substitute. Anyhow, two pikkies - one is the "before and after" short, the other is just some of the polished stones. Interestingly, several of the jellybeans turned out to be rutilated, but not to any great extent. I've got another 10-15 kilos of this stuff, so running out of grit is my main problem... Also had two 2 carat stones faceted for a set of earrings for my wife's birthday - they look really nice (earrings are getting made now).. Anyhow, enjoy. In another 2 weeks, glitches aside, I should have my first pet wood load all shiny

Nice job! That quartz looks nice and transparent, and you put a great shine on them. -Don

Super. They do look like jellybeans. Makes you just want to run your hands through them.

Great job, mate. Waiting for that first batch can get really tedious but your patience has paid off. Looking forward to that NSW pet wood.
