I got to go huntin the other day. Four of us spent five hours lookin and didn't pick up a single rock. Here's what we did find. We found about a thousand of these little guys. Really great eating.

Well now that I have them slabed, I am first going for some wraps. My lips around them. Next, going for petrified. I have some in my dehydrator. Sorry no FRBs.

Well as far as whether or not they are poison, if they look like these, eat them. Nothing else out there looks like these. These are Yellow, gray, and a few black Morels. They can be found in the spring of the year starting in TX & LA and traveling north as it warms all the way into Canada. There are professional hunters that follow the harvest South to North. They are supported by 18 wheelers that are huge dehydrating rigs. A few years ago they were selling for $25/lb fresh and over $125/lb dried. I would guess that the prices are even higher today.

Naw, the ones Alice had grow in Oregon. They are usually on cow plops. Kinda blue. Make a great salad topping.
