Anyone ever tried to tumble Fool's Gold? I've got a good supply and wondering if it's even worth it.
Some of the material seems tarnished...wonder if just putting in some type of polish would take the tarnish off but keep the natural cube shape? Maybe similar attempting to shine a coin?
Thanks -

Pyrite is pretty brittle. So even though the hardness is 6-6.5... I personally would be hesitant to tumble it. If the pieces were big enough, I might try to polish some of the tarnish off with a dremel tool and some polish.

I wonder about running them in walnut shells like they polish shooting brass.

I accidently polished some Iron Pyrite. It sucks. It eliminated all the detail, and just made the piece look bland. Don't.

You could try walnut shell with rouge in a vibe tumbler. You wouldn't loose shape.
