Dry polishes are usually made for vibratory tumblers, but it wouldn't cost much to experiment. My suggestions are:!.use a "hard"media in a rotary.Ground walnut shell might be good.Lapidary stores usually have it or pet suppliers sell it for reptile bedding.2.Your polish power must first be mixed into the media wet.Try this:fill the tumbler about three quarters with media, add at least twice the polish as a wet load, add enough mineral oil to moisten, say as much as the polish, run the tumbler until the mixture is COMPLETELY dry. Load and go!I have made my own dry polish and pre-polish this way and it works great in my vibes. Afterthoughts:If you are coming out of say 600 you may find it better to run a pre- polish first. This could be something like 1,000 S.C. or an A.O. of about 3 microns.Save out a typical piece or two from the polish to compare so you can see if it needs more time or is working at all. Please post your results and good luck!Mike.
